Love these video’s thanks! Please keep them coming.
@halfmileduck – glad you like them, Romain does a great job on these vids 🙂
As always Romain … this is superb…..I watch these for the content although I’ll probably never paint a Dark Angel emblem .. but moreover so I can understand the steps you take to build up to painting this …. as always you are a great teacher. Thank you.
you definitely have me ready to take the plunge with some freehand, something simple like a basic repeating flower pattern for my yujing I think. thanks to the patterns that are becoming apparent to me from watching you do several designs, I think I’m getting the idea behind constructing the design the right way. i’ll get my spacing right by mapping out the cloth with little dots before building out the design from there. might do some on paper first just to get my eye in.
thanks
that was great may have a go at just the sword as a regiment/vehicle logo I should manage that.
Thank you, faithful viewers ! There’s more where that came from. There’s still a lot of simple but effective freehand recipes I can teach !
Thank you @elromanozo !
I have been painting Dark Angels for years, yet never have I been satisfied with my efforts to freehand the emblem. Seeing the construction with simple geometric shapes seems so obvious now, though it Never occurred to me before.
This is timely also, after a long break from painting green-and-bone coloured space soldiers I have a squad of them on my painting table now finally getting finished. All but one have Transfers for emblems. That last one though… 🙂
Thanks a lot… Make it count ! 🙂
It’s a little crooked, but probably the best I’ve done so far. The next one I do will be better 🙂
