Ah Crazy Steve! So called because Miller’s batman after year one(which is mostly a Jim Gordon story) doesn’t act like batman… Characterisation aside, DKR is a very interesting end to the batman, if they hadn’t ruined it with strikes again I’d forgive it a lot of it’s foibles. Sadly it seems they’re doubling down on the end not being the end and the third mini series in the story (called the master race)is being worked on now. There is an animated dark knight returns, were Steve is voiced by Peter Weller, which is a bit disorientating for me having grown… Read more »
The first one I ever saw…camp Batman! Adam West rules. It’s just like there will never be a better starship captain than Kirk.
– Millar has issues? really? – I didn’t expected that from you Romain, thats a bit judgmental. You are entitled to your opinion. I painted myself Sin City Marv in black and white and I do agree with you – it is great exercise for painters. (but I did pre shade with airbrush) and love ending nananana Batman! we sing that with my family all the time – clasic! I wonder how much close I can get to to your painting with that model – i AM GOING TO STORE TO order it today, this would be my personal challange… Read more »
He does have issues. Sadly those issues include ‘All-Star Batman and Robin the Boy Wonder’, and issues don’t get any worse than that lol
Yeah, Crazy Steve hurling verbal abuse at Dick Grayson 10 minutes after he became an orphan and doing the dirty on Green Arrow with his wife yards away from the burning bodies of some thugs he just doused in thermite is pretty hard to top.
Magnificent, love the post credits scene!
Glad to see BoW returning to the Batman game. It was presented with such excitement early this year and then sort of disappeared. In between the 60s Batman tv show and the ’89 movie, I don’t believe there was a live action Batman produced in any form. So I would hazard that you’re correct about Keaton’s Batman being the first to sport ‘body armour,’ at least on screen. I don’t have this particular figure yet. I’ve removed the tabs from most of my other KM figures so far however, but a few like Black Canary and Batgirl were impractical to… Read more »
Thanks for your viewership ! 🙂
Actually, the model doesn’t come with feet stuck to the concrete stand, so it’s entirely possible to have Batman stand anywhere you want without any work at all… I do suggest pinning, though.
I like when superhero costumes look like sewn cloth and laced boots made with real-life materials. Modern stuff with sci-fi skin tight “rubber” looks awful in my opinion. So any version of Batman with that look, including the Frank Miller version, is awesome.
I agree that the best portrayals of Batman are when he is being a stealthy detective. He is mortal, after all, so why would he risk serious injury/death fighting bad guys more than is absolutely necessary? Unless he IS crazy…
He’s not crazy. He’s the goddamn Batman!

This is the definitive depiction of Batman -http://13thdimension.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/tumblr_l6n87rqnqg1qbgo38.jpg. Everything since Neal Adams has been pale imitation, or stupid body armour.
Indeed sir, indeed ! 🙂
Thanks for your many kind words, guys, and for your similar nerd-dom ! 🙂
I love my audience…
Great news about the figure construction, thanks!
Part 2??? please, was just getting right into that and then it was too quickly the end of part one. Like listening to Romain rattle on while painting.
I liked Frank Millers Batman
a bit late but, great start romain
Definitely far too late. I don’t know what happened with the scheduling. 🙁
I have the Batwoman figure on my work bench and got as far as base colours and shading the red. I’ll be waiting for part 2 of this before I tackle all the black on her outfit. Hurry up part 2! 🙂
